The Beginning
sylklyxteam started when our founder Sarah noticed something troubling during her work as a financial advisor in Pietermaritzburg. Too many people were making costly financial mistakes simply because they'd never learned the basics.
What began as weekend workshops in community centers quickly grew into something bigger. People were hungry for honest, practical financial education that actually made sense.
Digital Transformation
The pandemic forced us online, but it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Moving to digital platforms allowed us to reach people across South Africa who'd never had access to quality financial education before.
We launched our first online course "Financial Foundations" and were amazed when 2,000 people enrolled in the first month. This wasn't just about teaching anymore — we were building a community of financially empowered South Africans.
Recognition & Growth
Last year marked a turning point. We partnered with local banks to offer financial literacy programs to their customers, and our impact measurement showed something incredible: 78% of our learners improved their savings habits within six months.
But the real validation came from our community. Stories poured in from people who'd bought their first homes, started businesses, or simply felt confident managing their money for the first time.
Looking Forward to 2026
We're not just dreaming about the future — we're building it. Our vision is simple: every South African should have access to the financial knowledge they need to build wealth and security for their families.
This year, we're launching our mobile app to reach even more communities, and we're developing specialized programs for young adults, small business owners, and families planning for retirement.
